On a night just like this.

On a night just like this the stars shown for us.
Brighter than the anything we’d…..ever seen.
Long walks in fall as the leaves changed.
Followed by winters warmed by the fire.
Gently snow drifts down as softlights guide,;bright lights into springs hands as the body renews and life begins again. Slow at first with just buds of the future showing clear and strong.

Then into growth with branches clear and clean. Woven mysteries like tapestries drift from the northern lights to my heart. Each pulse a beacon of strength and knowing that I am never truly alone in this world.

On a night just like this I forgave myself for loving you and for you never loving me. That is why on a night just like this the stars shown for just me, for I am as you are and we shall forever be lost in time, misplaced but mine no more lost and forgotten as the hummingbirds have left the hillside and now I follow only my heart. Adieu.

Words have never been so bitter sweet as if spoken from a place looking down in shame.i am forever grateful for this life be it ending or flourish for a thousand more.
I shall speak of this no more.

My life after you….

Studio update 10.28.13

It’s a beautiful day down here in the not so happening city of Salem Oregon. As I sit here in the car waiting for my son to get out of school I figured I’d use the time to share with everyone the work in progress for today’s studio time. As I lay me down to sleep is 30″x40″ mixed media piece I have every intention of finishing in time for Novembers big show.

Then some close ups so we can all tell what it looks like, kinda at least through the lens of my iPhone.

I’ve just about gone through the entire piece once quite literally with a fine tooth comb a #0 liner brush that I’m actually using for the detail shading on the piece. So for though I’ve only done the dark tone shading. I’ll do dark tones one more time to create as much depth as I can then she’ll get a serious varnish bath which will make the current contrast “pop” even more. Once the varnish dries I’ll go over the whole piece again and focus on the highlights bringing the perceived depth to its greatest point all of this hopefully by November first when I hang the new show. Phew. Okay it’s time to go little man is here and there’s Pokemon to catch apparently . I hope the day has been kind to you all and you to it and remember. Be brave , be bold and thrive in the life you have .

Namaste
