A year older.

I just want to say thanks for the well wishes. Many of you I’m associated with on FB or you’ve emailed me and I just wanted to say thanks. I’m a year older as of yesterday and I’m still alive. Yay! Go me. Really I’ll take it. After the last few years trying to get back on my feet I’m finally feeling like things are a little more stable. Though it still feels like I’m dreaming half the time. Anyhow that’s another story for another time. I’d like to say I’ve been writing or painting to pass the time but life these days even as simple as my life may seem each day takes my full attention. Soon again I’ll express my feelings through the paint but for now I’m thankful to wake each day and be able to walk on my own and enjoy the life I have.
Thanks again for all the birthday wishes.
Cheers and may life be kind to you.
Always.

  1. Older, sure. Alive, let’s see…… You woke up, that’s good, walked around a little, that’s a good sign. Oh, that’s right, you looked outside and noticed that the sun has risen, now that’s a big “YEAH!” I wish you a happy belated birthday my friend. It is awesome to see or hear what you’re going through, and rise up another day to see the sun shine! For what’s going on in your life to find out all the little and big tasks you’ve been doing and are doing, and still rise up the next day to whatever or whomever is motivating you to keep on going, tells me by just pure observation, that there is a loving God. You are a testimony to the rest of us not to even take the smallest things in life for granted. Keep being a testimony to all of us, and keep hanging on to that motivation that keeps driving you each and every day. Remember: “The darkness hates the light, the light always chases the darkness away”. Keep being that light that shines bright for those who are feeling around in that darkness. Like the lighthouse on a stormy shore, it keeps ships from crashing into the rocks. Continue to be a lighthouse for those around you who are coming close to crashing on the rocky shores. Lord be with you,,,,, Ed Russell
