Down to the wire…pcs 5,6 **challenge.

Sleep who needs sleep? Not when there’s painting to be done. I just dropped off painting 5 of 6 and have all the texturing and “first paint” done on 6 of 6. In reality this challenge should have been named 6 paintings in 6 days as it’s Thursday and they will have their soft opening tomorrow so by tonight everything needs to be finished, dry and hung… That being said let’s take a quick peak at number five. “Blossom” *life is.
I’ll include some other shots as well since the lights were off it’s hard to get the true colors and feel of the piece.

It’s a bit of a departure from the other pieces I’ve done for them but I felt that something a bit less abstract and more expressionistic was in order.

Now just a small taste of the sixth piece.

20140612-095917-35957343.jpg please keep in mind that if I don’t start out super bright that by the time all the other colors get added it will be far to dark. Pulse if handled correctly it can cast a lovely internal glow.
Well I’m back at it, the question stands what am I going to do after all this. These are gift painting so I’m not getting paid for any of it though the honor and pleasure of painting for others is a huge reward. Anytime I can spread a little warmth and happiness in the world then I’m happy to do it, plus hopefully the recognition won’t hurt.
As always please remember to
Be Brave, Be bold and Thrive in the life you have. You never know when it will change forever.

  1. i love these and they seem somehow a little more hopeful. the last one, that you’ve just begun, reminds me of a pastel and complex rose blossom, with many swirls and shades and subtle blends.

    • These pieces do give me hope Ms.B it’s a lot to get used to living in this new situation and by staying focused it gives me purpose without it I’d fade away. Your take on the newest one is very astute as always your one of the few that can “see” my art often in the same way I do. I hope the world has been kind to you today and always.

  2. “Be Brave, Be bold and Thrive in the life you have. You never know when it will change forever.” Absolutely! You got that right! ❀ Hope you are are feeling better. πŸ˜€

  3. After several weeks of stress at the workplace where I really did not have time to look much at what people posted, today I have time to look arround. I see I have been missing a lot of interesting things on your blog. πŸ™‚ I would appreciate if you continue posting your art, including the very interesting intermediate states.
