As an artist there are few things that give me satisfaction like being able to produce work that not only satisfies my need to create but also is appreciated by others. Over the last 6 days I’ve spent the majority of my time in the studio. Not only has the work been highly enjoyable and rewarding but it’s been a great way for me to sort out some things in my life. Wants, needs, friends and family. I’m very proud to announce the completion of the 6 piece challenge.
Please enjoy the fruits of my labor.
The funny thing about this last piece is it’s the smallest of all of them. She’s only 3ft x 2ft and has been staring at me for the past 6 days causing me great amounts of stress**in a good way* I woke about 3a pst this morning and thought to myself I’ve no idea what to do… So I did what I feel I do best when it comes to creating art. I sat and simply started to paint. I let go of all preconceptions that I may have had and simply let my heart and soul pour out on the canvas and in doing so the universe gave me ( us ) this.
For me this piece is simply a symphony of color, texture and emotion. I’d like to thank all of you for joining me this week it’s been a honor and most humbling experience to again be in the grace of your kindness and appreciation of my art and journey. Never in a million years would have I imagined that my life would be the way it is today, but I’m thankful, thankful Parkinson’s hasn’t taken all of me away yet and thankful for the love and friendships I have in my life. You give me strength and hope when I have none and I am eternally thankful.
As the days continue in our lives to roll on as they do please remember a few things. Be kind to each other and Always strive to Be brave, Be bold and Thrive in the life you have.
Until we meet again
