“Time to move on”

This was a tribute piece that I did for De Kooning in 2012.
If you look closely you can see the eyes, nose and mouth of the figure
in the foreground.

As the clouds touch ground
I welcome your chilled embrace
Take me deep in your mist
Engulf all that I am
Flow through my soul touching
Everything I have been
Transport my heart through the years
Walk with me
Sit with me
Hold my hand and cherish this moment in time-forever
I hope the world has been kind to you today, taken you in it’s arms and held you tight with a loving embrace. I feel the first part of my day has reached an end three hours of sleep a night for the past 2 weeks has caught up to me and I’m fatigued and sore, but full of hope and heart.
Much love, until later.

It’s funny how sometimes a song will speak volumes. For me this song and this painting were made for each other.

Sometimes innocence is lost just because your alive, I’m an old friend of the winds of change. Take it from an old soldier hold on to your happy places someday you’ll need them more than you ever thought possible.
Hope your day has been lovely, it’s been a challenge here on planet Benjamin. PT ended up being a bit more effort than would have cared for had testing and for those of you who know what that means ugh and for those I you who don’t its easy to explain. Take yourself to the gym and lift as much weight as you humanly can for 45 min. Run/walk as fast as you can, stretch as hard and far as you can then go home. Not easy stuff for anyone regardless of physical shape or disability. Parkinson’s disease which makes one hyper prone to muscle flex tends to make my testing days a bit on the brutal side. Example I once had a calf muscle in full hardcore flex for 2 days. Can’t imagine? Take a full gallon if milk and hold it straight arm out I front of you for two days amusing to say the least. Anyhow I don’t mean to sound as if I’m complaining as the title of this post may imply its just a day hopefully just one of many more to come. I find my blog cathartic as I can express the feelings and thoughts of the day openly. Grandma used to say better out than in. As soon as I find my balance again in my home life requirements / symptoms then I can get back into the studio. It’s been over two years since I’ve painted so few. I usually paint, write or draw daily. Oh well just a phase. Time to go put on the chefs hat, I prepped baked ziti after PT today yum.
Aarrgggh. It Monday morning here in the fine Pacific Northwest and I’m sleepy (yawn) hope all rested well an are ready for a fantastic day…..Because I’m going back to bed
You on the other hand need to go to work
So rise and shine
I hope you all have a beautiful day myself I’ll be at the PT center this morning for a few hours so I’ll talk to you soon.
Words of the day, hope, strength, compassion. Have it , be it and give it.
I like to keep fresh flowers in the house but have grown tired of spending money on them and since it’s summer weather here I thought these little lovelies would be a warm welcome about the house, pretty don’t you think?
This will be part of today’s efforts in the studio mixed of course the bouts of laundry and shopping. I did however pick up some magic tools from the art store yesterday that I’m very interested in checking out. I will also be priming the panels for my newest figure series so stay tuned on that. Which leaves us to the end of this post.
I like to mention small things, not tiny rocks or wee bits of fuzz but the little things we take for granted Sue Vincent spoke very well about it this morning in her post:
